Edwardian Mahogany Inlaid Corner Chair
An Edwardian mahogany corner chair (c.1901) in the Georgian style but with more refined and slender lines emphasised by the decorative satinwood string inlay outlining the scrolling arms and further stringing detail highlighting the top rail, the three comb pierced back splats – all with mother of pearl centre which is repeated on the front knee of the cabriole legs that are united by an attractively turned cross-stretcher. Freshly upholstered in a textured fabric with rose and gold coloured design and beautiful patina, this charming little period chair is in excellent unrestored condition.
