Made at the close of the 20^th century, this beautiful piece of modern art glass in the form of a large glass and gold bowl decorated and etched with gingko leaves. Signed ‘S Schlanser 04’ and dated 1999.

About the artist: Stephen Schlanser (b.1949)

Having served an apprenticeship with a German glass artisan, Paul von Domarus, Schlanser went on to study, revive and master the ancient glass fusing technique as used by the Egyptians and Persians, as well as other techniques, resulting in a unique and unmistakable style of art glass which, together with his unstinting attention to detail, produces superb design and quality pieces.
