Tenera Coffee Table by Haslev, Denmark
A superbly finished rosewood coffee table designed by Severin Hansen produced by Haslev Mobelsnedkeri, Denmark (circa 1956) complete with a section of beautiful green, white and blue Royal Copenhagen tiles designed by Grethe Helland (1939-1999). Bearing the Tenera Fra, Den Koneglige Porcelainsfabrik stamp and Danish Furniture Makers control label, this is an elegant and exceptionally good example of a quality piece of mid-20th century Scandinavian designer furniture.

About the designers:
Severin Hansen Jr. designed many attractive and highly collectible pieces of furniture for the Haslev Mobelsnedkeri - a partnership formed Severin Hansen Snr., (his father) along with two other carpenters, Vindhal Peterson and Aunbirk.
Grethe Helland-Hansen Nash (1936-1999) Norwegian. Ceramic artist, awarded a Knight of the Royal Norwegian Order of St Olave in 1998. In addition to tile designs for the Royal Copenhagen factory, her work included notable vases and other art pottery such as a wall plate displayed in the Storting (Norwegian Parliament Building) and major museums in Norway.
