A very heavy and large circular coffee table designed by Svend Aage Jessen for Ryesberg Mobler, Denmark. Constructed using stained oak panels fixed within and raised on chrome-plated steel supports, incorporating a circular, signed Sejer ceramic centre of radiating decorative tiles in something of an abstract planetary form. The darkened oak surround is in very good condition with minimal signs of use and creates a pleasing contrast with the beige and brown perfect ceramic art pottery centre-piece.
