Pierre Vandel “Villa D’Este” Square Occasional Table

French designer, Pierre Vandel, known for his high-end, glamorous designs, created this square occasional table as part of the Villa D’Este collection in the 1970s. Having an extremely heavy, bevel-edged, glass top resting on a mottled green, hand-patinated, steel frame with brass capped feet to the gracefully curving uprights terminating in attractive brass leaf motifs on the four top corners. The table comes with the original (numbered) Certificate of Authentication and is in excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of age commensurate with careful usage.

Whilst some examples of this design have a glass under-shelf, there are no signs to indicate a second glass shelf was ever present on this table and there are no rubber pads or marks that would have indicated where the glass might have rested.
