A pair of rare and very stylish Danish classic mid-20th century easy chairs designed for France & Son by Ditte and Adrian Heath. Constructed from ash, bentwood frames and corded stringing over-laid with attractively, buttoned, tan leather cushioning and arm rests plus adjustable headrests.
Both chairs are in superb condition. Structurally excellent with the original vintage leather continuing to look bright and fresh with no tears and padding that does not show any signs of deterioration.

About the designers: Adrian & Ditte Heath
Adrian Heath (1923- graduated from the London School of Archtecture in 1951, going on to employment with Hvidt & Molgaard. Ditte Heath (1923-2004) graduated from an Art Academy Building School in 1948 before working in London during 1951-58 for the Council Architectural Office. The couple set up their own drawing office in 1963 to work on industrial, housing and furniture design; the latter including designs for France & Son and CADO, amongst others., in addition to writing numerous books and articles on design and a period of employment at the Arhus Architectural School.
