Marcel Breuer’s Cesca Armchairs

These tubular steel framed, cantilever chairs with hand-woven cane seats and back rests were designed by Marcel Breuer in 1928 while at the Bauhaus. The Cesca chair was named after his daughter, Francesca, and this design continues to be a timeless classic, known for flexibility and a comfortable seating position. The beech frame chair still has the Made in Italy label and is in excellent, used condition.  The black lacquered chair does have a small split in the cane to the right of the back rest just above the arm and minor rust spots but is otherwise in very good, used condition.
