Ercol - Model 427 – Free Floating Easy Chair – Natural Finish - SOLD

Ercol introduced this design in their 1956 catalogue as the free floating easy chair having no rigid cross bars, instead using the now well-known and patented rubber webbing method which increased the comfort of this compact and strong yet extremely light weight chair. 

This chair comprises the natural waxed beech frame with an early label and the original Ercol linen fabric with the Phoenix pattern covering the seat and loose cushion plus the back seat pad which reaches over the top rail down to the back stretcher – all in good clean condition showing very little signs of use and wear given its age.
