EC 69 - Pair of Charlotte Perriand - LC7 Swivel Armchairs

Pair of Charlotte Perriand - LC7 Swivel Armchairs

Although credited to the studio of Le Corbusier, the LC7 model chairs were designed by Charlotte Perriand for her Parisian flat in 1927, a design which led to her joining Le Corbusier’s studio and this model was relaunched in 1978.

This pair of distinctive armchairs create a small foot-print having green padded leather semi-circular back / arm-rest above a swivelling circular padded seat raised on four chromed steel legs, producing a versatile and iconic chair which is ideal as dining or occasional chair.

Whilst we are unable to date these chairs specifically, we believe they are 1970s from the condition as there is some minor wear to the leather at the edge of the armrests (see photo) otherwise they are in excellent, vintage condition with no faults to the leather and the chrome frames are also in excellent condition.

Dimensions: H 27½”/70cm, W 23”/59cm, D 24”/61cm, SH 19”/49cm

Item Reference No. EC 69.

Price: £1,500.00

About the Designer – Charlotte Perriand (1903–1999)

Perriand studied furniture design from 1920-1925 at the Ecole de L’Union Centrale des Arts Decoratifs before working for the Le Corbusier studio for some 10 years.
