Ingmar Relling Siesta Armchair & Stool   SOLD

A minimalist and ergonomic classic designed in 1965 by Norwegian, Ingmar Relling (1920-2002) for Westnofa Mobelfabrikk.  This bentwood framed armchair with a laced canvas sling is covered by exceptionally soft black leather, as is the matching footstool (sometimes referred to as an ottoman).  The set has obviously been well cared for, the frames are sound and the leather is in very good, supple condition justifying the popularity of the design and why it became such an iconic piece of mid-century furniture.
