G Plan 62 - Blofeld Armchair – Model 6250.

Nicknamed the Blofeld Armchair after it appeared in the James Bond film, “You Only Live Twice”, released in 1967, also appearing in several other films and TV programmes. Actually called a G Plan Model 6250 and is considered as being the World’s most comfortable chair.

Designed by Paul Conti for G Plan and one of the great modern pieces of furniture having the very large wings to the deeply buttoned back and generous cushioning making this armchair an outstanding design icon.

The armchair has a 360 degree swivel action and is raised on a 4–branched wooden base on castors for ease of movement. 

The seat offers a very generous and comfortable seating position

This chair was reupholstered in a strong and attractive golden yellow Sanderson fabric which has a subtle red motif within a diamond pattern and continues to be in clean and unmarked condition.
