SS 30 - Stouby ‘Maria’ Sofa / Banquette by Wojtek Depka Carstens SOLD

A sofa designed by Wojtek Depka Carstens in 1994 for Stouby in a banquette style which continues to be in production today. 

Having a curved, spindle-back, beech frame enclosing the two seat cushions and two curving buttoned back cushions which are anchored to the frame with leather-lace ties - all in a warm conker brown leather.

Known for their quality, as with all Stouby products, this sofa continues to be in excellent condition throughout with only minor scuffing to the frame.

Dimensions: H 31”/79cm, D 28”/71cm, L 60”/153cm.

About the Designer:

Wojtek Depka Carstens (1945-2002) trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, going on to later teach at the Aarhus School of Architecture, as well as running his own business and involvement with the Danish furniture group and exhibitions throughout his career.
