Hans Wegner – Getama GE 40 Lounge Suite - SOLD

We seldom use the words ‘fabulous’ and ‘exceptional’ but both justifiably describe this extremely rare and beautiful lounge suite comprising an armchair with a 2 seat and a 3 seat sofa. 

Designed by Hans Wegner for the Danish manufacturer, Getama, in the 1960s, although no longer in production, this mint condition suite looks and feels as if it was made yesterday.

All 3 pieces (2 settees and the chair) can be positioned anywhere in a room as the framework is a very attractive feature resulting in an overall timeless and contemporary, sought-after look for today’s open plan room designs. 

The framework of each piece is fumed oak and the cushions are covered in the original fabric which is almost light grey but in fact is a very delicate shade or hint of the palest green (looks similar to a current shade used by Getama called, Divina 3 106).

All these pieces are as near to perfect as it is possible to find and, ideally, we would like them to remain as a complete set.
