Ercol Windsor Serving Cabinet, Drinks Cabinet or Bureau / Secretaire - Light finish - Model 469

Appearing in the Ercol 1965 catalogue this Model 469 Windsor Serving Cabinet, Cocktail Cabinet or bureau was designed to enable easy movement to any serving position in the room and still look attractive from all angles. With the capacity to hold 6 place settings for breakfast, dinner and tea services the cabinet provided flexibility and replaced the need for a separate sideboard.

Made from solid elm with the traditional Ercol light finish and stylish oval inset handles, this unit is just as useful today as a drinks cabinet or bureau especially when used as a room divider. The top section features a drop-down flap revealing 2 adjustable shelves, above a full-width, double-door cupboard again with an adjustable shelf over a full-width, dovetailed drawer.  Featuring the stylish oval inset handles, apart from a couple of ring marks on the inside of the cupboard floor (see photo), this cabinet is in superb condition with all the original hinges, catches and castors operating smoothly.
