These popular, hand-woven cane and tubular steel framed, cantilever chairs were designed by Marcel Breuer in 1928 while at the Bauhaus. The Cesca chair was named after his daughter, Francesca, and this design continues to be a timeless classic, known for flexibility and a very comfortable seating position.
Made in Italy, the chairs have minimal signs of age to the chrome, although one of the hand-woven cane seats is not too bad (possibly having been replaced in the past) but, not too surprisingly, three do require renewal or replacement with either new cane or other material insert and are priced accordingly.
