Reputedly a dining set from the 1951 Festival of Great Britain, this dining table and sideboard certainly has similar elements to those of other items exhibited by Ercol and Heals. The elegant and fairly long table has slightly angled legs which are very like Lucien Ercolani’s early designs and the sideboard (see reference below) is a similar style to those of Gordon Russell and Christopher Heal.
The table is constructed from beech the top being ply, and splayed legs are detachable for ease of transporting.
